Nagpur, India: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Crime Intelligence Branch (CIB) of Nagpur cracked down on liquor smuggling at Katol Railway Station under ‘Operation Satark.’ Officials seized 50 bottles of Goa Whisky, valued at ₹27,250, from a woman smuggler and her accomplice on a train.

The accused were travelling on Train No. 61120 Amla-Nagpur MEMU when RPF officials noticed them behaving suspiciously. Upon checking their bags, officers found the woman carrying 20 bottles of whisky worth ₹10,900, while her male companion had 30 bottles worth ₹16,350.

Both were detained and later handed over to the State Excise Department, Nagpur. Cases were registered under Section 65(E) of the Maharashtra Prohibition Act, with crime numbers 77/2025 and 78/2025.

The operation was conducted under the guidance of senior RPF officials. The team included Jasveer Singh, Vikas Kumar, Dharmendra Singh, Deepak Lathwal, Ashish Kumar, Mohanlal Devangan, and Lady Constable Kavita Kupale.
