Nagpur Smart City wins a prize for constructing safe roadways

An excellence award was given to Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Limited (NSSCDCL) for their pioneering work in establishing "Healthy Streets in Indian cities."
During a two-day workshop jointly hosted by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Development Department, Smart City Mission, and Pimpri-Chichwad Smart City, Nagpur Smart City was presented with the award.
In the third national workshop on "Streets and Public Spaces," held at G D Madgulkar Auditorium in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Dr. Pranita Umredkar (GM, I/c), Environment division, and Nodal Officer of Streets 4 People Challenge Nagpur Smart City, accepted the awards from Kunal Kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
Out of the 29 cities, the top 15 innovative cities in India were chosen for phase II of the India Cycle IV Change and Streets IV People challenges, an initiative of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and the Smart Cities Mission, Government of India.
