Nagpur, India: With the much-awaited India-England One Day International (ODI) approaching, the Nagpur Traffic Police have issued important guidelines to ensure smooth traffic movement and hassle-free parking for spectators attending the match at the Vidarbha Cricket Association’s Jamtha Stadium.
-
Traffic Route: All vehicles should follow the Nagpur Wardha Road route until the Jamtha T Point.
-
Parking Spaces: 4-wheeler parking: Designated parking areas for four-wheelers are Parking B, D1, and D2, which are located directly in front of the stadium. Extra parking is available in Parking E & F. Two-wheeler parking: Parking C, next to the stadium, is reserved for two-wheelers. If full, extra parking space is available in Parking F.
-
Post-Match Exit: Vehicles parked in Parking B, D1, and D2 must use the designated exit route after the match ends.
-
Diversion Plan: Once Parking B, C, D1, and D2 reach 75% capacity, vehicles will be diverted from Jamtha T Point towards Wardha Road to Parking E & F, located approximately 1 km away. To-and-fro buses will be available to shuttle spectators from these parking areas to the stadium.
-
Arrive Early: Spectators are advised to reach the stadium at least 2 hours before the match starts to avoid last-minute delays due to traffic.
-
Use Metro for Convenience: For a quicker and more convenient journey, spectators are encouraged to use the metro service to Khapri Station, where buses will be available to take them to the stadium.
-
Traffic Police Support: Traffic officers will be stationed along the entire route and in parking spaces, with signages put up to assist in case of difficulties.
-
Heavy Vehicle Diversion: To ensure smooth traffic flow, heavy vehicle traffic will be diverted from the Nagpur-Wardha Highway to Samruddhi Mahamarg.
-
Towing Vans: Five towing vans will be operational along the route and around the stadium. Vehicles parked illegally on roads will be towed. Spectators are advised not to park on roads to avoid penalties.
The Nagpur Traffic Police has requested cooperation from all spectators to ensure a smooth and safe experience for everyone. With these measures in place, the authorities aim to ensure that the match concludes peacefully and traffic movement remains uninterrupted for all attendees.
