Nagpur, India: On October 21, the City Traffic Police implemented a new traffic regulation on Wardha Road aimed at reducing congestion. Right turns at the Rahate Colony T-point and Kruplani Square will be prohibited from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, Monday through Saturday.

Vehicles heading from Morris College T-point to Ajni Square are prohibited from making right turns. However, they can make left turns at both the Rahate Colony T-point and Kruplani Square. U-turns are allowed near the Central Jail.

According to a senior police official, road users have reacted positively to the new rule, which has alleviated traffic congestion. He mentioned that the two-hour adjustment in the traffic system has resulted in time and fuel savings for drivers.

While the new system has improved overall traffic conditions, some drivers are struggling due to the ban on right turns. However, the number of those affected is minor compared to the larger group of drivers who are benefiting from the adjustments.

A police officer stated that for those heading to Deekshabhoomi from Kriplani Square, U-turns can now be made 200 meters ahead, in front of the Central Jail.
