After demolishing the house of the main accused, Fahim Khan, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has now taken action against another accused, Mohammad Yusuf Sheikh. The encroachment department demolished the illegally constructed structure at his residence.

Two-storey house Brought Down

On Monday, around 9:30 AM, NMC officials, accompanied by a large police force, reached Mohammad Yusuf Sheikh’s house in Sanjay Bagh Colony, Yashodhara Nagar. To ensure smooth action, the electricity department cut off the power supply to the house before the demolition began. Soon after, the NMC bulldozer started demolishing the two-storey structure, completing the task in about an hour.

CM Fadnavis Had Warned of Strict Action

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had earlier assured that strict action would be taken against those responsible for the Nagpur violence. He had also announced that compensation for the damages would be recovered from the rioters.
