Nagpur's golden boy archer, Ojas Devtale, has been nominated for the prestigious Arjuna Award for his exceptional achievements in archery. The Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award is India's highest sporting honor, with the Arjuna Award being the second highest. Apart from a cash prize of 15 Lakhs, the awardees of the Arjuna Award also receive a certificate.

In August, 21-year-old compound archer Ojas made history by becoming the first Indian to win the gold at the Berlin Championship in Germany, garnering nationwide attention. Ojas displayed his commitment to both personal and national success by helping the Indian compound team secure a gold medal in the same competition.

A few months later, Ojas, the son of Praveen and Archana, set another record at the Hangzhou Asian Games in China, clinching three gold medals. His accomplishments not only showcase his skill but also contribute to the pride of the nation.

These achievements elevate Ojas Devtale's recognition in the Indian sports arena, and the Arjuna Award nomination further acknowledges his dedication and excellence in archery.
