Road Safety Concerns Rise After Devotees’ Vehicle Overturns in Warud

Warud (Amravati): Fourteen devotees from Rampuri (Ramthi) in Narkhed tehsil, Nagpur district, were injured when their vehicle overturned while travelling to the Salbardi fair. The accident happened around 10 am on Friday near the Aloda-Nandgaon crossing.
The driver lost control while trying to avoid a collision with a car coming from the opposite direction. As a result, the vehicle overturned, trapping the passengers inside. Locals quickly helped rescue them.
Among the injured, four people—Rekha Yuvnate (27), Prafulla Yuvnate (36), Kusum Meshram (65), and Yashasvi Dehare (18)—were seriously hurt and taken to the District General Hospital in Amravati. The others were admitted to the Rural Hospital in Warud.
The car involved in the accident also skidded off the road. The owner, Vasantrao Sherekar, his wife, and their driver were injured and are being treated at a private hospital.
Benoda (Shaheed) police are investigating the accident.
