NCC Officers Training Academy in Kamptee Hosts Passing Out

Passing Out Parade took place at ChunnI Lal Parade Ground of the National Cadet Corps Officers Training Academy in Kamptee.

Kamptee, Nagpur- An impressive parade took place at Chunni Lal Parade Ground of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Officers Training Academy in Kamptee, Maharashtra, celebrating the Passing Out Parade for Cadet Training Officers (CTOs) of the NCC Junior Division. Major General KJS Rathore, Commandant of the NCC Officers Training Academy, reviewed the parade. The event featured 57 Third Officers, 410 Army Cadet Training Officers, and 45 Naval Cadet Training Officers from 17 different NCC Directorates. They marched to the martial tunes played by the Military Band of the Army Service Corps Centre, Bengaluru.

These Cadet Training Officers, who are school teachers from across India, showcased the NCC's motto "Discipline and Unity." Academy Under Officer Suresh MalSetty of the Andhra Pradesh & Telangana Directorate led the parade. After completing the course, the CTOs received their NCC commissions and became Associate NCC Officers (ANOs).

CTO Naveen Singh Raghav received the Commandant’s Gold Medal and Director General’s Baton for being the top Army CTO. CTO Amlan Dash and CTO Rohit Chauhan earned the Silver and Bronze Medals, respectively. Among the Naval trainees, CTO Parab Narendra Kanoba was awarded the Commandant’s Gold Medal and Director General’s Baton for first place, while CTO Mayur Bhagapa Kalal and CTO Yadu Krishnan took the Silver and Bronze Medals. Shivaji Company won the Director General’s Banner for Inter-Company Championship.

The parade marked the end of forty-five days of rigorous training, which included drills, physical training, yoga, leadership and personality development, community development, and disaster management classes. This training prepared the CTOs to train NCC cadets in their units effectively.

Senior officers, dignitaries, and the trainees' families attended the event. In his speech, the Reviewing Officer encouraged the new officers to uphold the NCC’s objectives and contribute to nation-building by shaping young minds and guiding NCC cadets to become responsible and dynamic citizens. He praised the high standards of drill and training displayed and commended 'Team OTA' for their excellent training efforts.
