Newborn Baby Girl Rescued After Being Abandoned in Yashodhara Nagar, Nagpur
A one-day-old newborn girl was found abandoned in Nagpur's Wanjra layover area on December 9. This marks the second such incident in 10 days. The baby was rescued and is in stable condition, while police investigate the case and search for her parents.

Nagpur, India: A newborn girl was found abandoned in the Wanjra layover area, under Yashodharanagar Police Station, on December 9, in the second such case within the last 10 days.
Police sources report that the one-day-old girl infant was discovered by Rehmat Khan (52) behind the house of Abdul Rashid Tasrir Ulla at around 2:15 PM. The Yashodharanagar Police were immediately alerted, and officers rescued the baby, taking her to the hospital. She is currently in stable condition, and efforts by officials are being made to locate her parents.
An offense under Section 93 of the BNS Act has been registered, and further investigations are ongoing.
This follows a similar case on November 25, when a three-month-old girl was found abandoned near a water tank in Pawanputra Nagar, under Hudkeshwar Police Station. The child suffered minor head injuries and had ant bites on her body.
Listening to these incidents gives goosebumps of shock, the cruelty of human kind is no surprise. Strict action is what we expect from the authorities.
