Nimish Muley Shines as Fastest Swimmer in Victorious Swimming Club Aquatic Competition

In the one-day aquatic competition organized by the Victorious Swimming Club at the NIT Swimming Pool, Nimish Muley emerged as the fastest swimmer, showcasing his talent in multiple events.
The 24-year-old Muley claimed the gold in the 50m freestyle in the open age group with an impressive timing of 24.11 seconds. Yash Gulhane secured the second spot, while Premkumar Patil took home the bronze.
Being a two-time Senior National Games bronze medalist and a prominent swimmer from Maharashtra, Muley was the center of attraction at the competition. Currently serving in the Indian Army, he displayed his skills by winning another gold in the butterfly event with a time of 26.59 seconds and a silver in the 50m breaststroke.
The competition featured participants from various age groups, including Under-9, 12, 14, 17, and open categories. Cash prizes and medals were awarded to the top three winners in each age group.
The event's inauguration was graced by MLA Vikas Thakre, with Prashant Ugemuge from Midland Sports and Wellness Pvt Ltd presiding over the ceremony. Former Maharashtra Sports Minister Anees Ahmed was also a special guest at the occasion.
Yogesh Khobragade, the swimming coach and chief organizer of the event, made introductory remarks. Dilip Itankar, a retired sports officer, conducted the proceedings, and Sandeep Khobragade proposed a vote of thanks.
The competition saw the presence of distinguished referees, including Anil Pande, Chetan Garge, Amol Raipurkar, and others, ensuring fair and smooth proceedings throughout the day.
