The decision by Nagpur Municipal Corporation to raise the daily water supply to 10 MLD is a major relief. The amount of water that the city currently receives each day has grown to 720 MLD from 710 MLD.

This extra stock would be extracted from Pench and Kanhan due to the city's growing water demand. The water supply department's senior authorities have advised that this increase has been implemented for the past three days.

The Kanhan River has an abundance of fish this year, and there won't be any severe water scarcity over the summer. Totladoh provides the majority of the city's water supply. The reservoir now holds 61.90 MLD of water, of which 225 MLD comes from the Kanhan River. Pench and Kanhan provide the city with 720 MLD of water every day. Likewise for the remaining water.

In addition to the city, the Municipal Corporation also provides water to Tirodi, Bokhara, and the Godhani Municipal Council. According to officials, these localities receive a daily supply of two million litres of water.
