Nagpur, India: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has added four new road-sweeping machines to improve cleanliness in the city. These machines will help clean roads and flyovers more efficiently.
Earlier, the city had only three such machines. Now, with a total of seven, cleaning will be faster. NMC has also asked for six more machines from the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) to improve road cleaning further.
Manual cleaning has become difficult since many new roads and flyovers are being built in Nagpur. These modern machines, bought using government funds, will make the process easier.
Each machine has been assigned to clean different parts of the city, including:
- Old Katol Naka to Pardi HB Town Ring Road
- Police Line Lake to Ginger Mall via Khamla Road and Mecosabagh Bridge
- Narendranagar Bridge to Chinchbhuvan DP Road via Jaitala Bazaar
- Anand Talkies RUB to CP Club via Jhansi Rani Chowk and Ambazari T-Point
These machines spray water to prevent dust from spreading and use powerful suction to pick up garbage quickly. This will help keep Nagpur's roads clean, reduce pollution, and make cleaning safer for workers.
With these new machines, NMC aims to keep the city cleaner and healthier for everyone.
