Nagpur, India: Akhil Chandrashekhar Vase, a 27-year-old resident of New Babulkheda in Jaybhim Nagar, Ajni, has been exiled from Nagpur city and its rural areas for one year due to his ongoing criminal activities. Vase, a known habitual offender, had been involved in numerous crimes, including threatening, assaulting, and causing harm to residents. His actions created a sense of fear and insecurity in the community.
Despite previous preventive actions, Vase continued his criminal behaviour, prompting the Senior Police Inspector of Ajni Police Station to submit a proposal for his exile to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Circle 4, Nagpur. The DCP approved the request, and on August 10, 2024, an official order was issued, banishing Vase from the city's limits for a year.
Vase has been relocated to Ambedkar Nagar, Nalwadi, Wardha, to stay with relatives. Authorities have warned that if he is found in Nagpur during the exile period, residents should immediately contact Ajni Police Station at 0712-2746555 or the police control room by dialling 112.
