Ola Electric has taken another big leap in the electric vehicle market by launching its highly anticipated Gen 3 electric scooter lineup. With cutting-edge technology, improved performance, and an expanded service network, Ola aims to redefine the EV experience for Indian consumers.

What’s New in Gen 3?

The new lineup includes the S1 Pro, S1 Pro+, S1 X, and S1 X+, all running on Ola’s latest MoveOS 5 operating system. These models come with multiple battery options, enhanced braking technology, and a shift from hub motors to mid-drive motors for better efficiency and reliability.

Battery and Performance Upgrades

S1 Pro: Available in 3kWh and 4kWh battery options.
S1 Pro+: Comes with either a 4kWh or a flagship 5.3kWh battery pack.
S1 X: Offers 2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh battery choices.
S1 X+: Available only with a 4kWh battery.

The S1 Pro+ is the top performer in the lineup, boasting a staggering 320 km range on a single charge and a top speed of 141 km/h.

Advanced Features and Technology

1. Brake by Wire System: Ola’s patented technology enhances efficiency by regenerating electricity during braking. It also increases range by 15% and doubles the lifespan of brake pads.
2. Mid-Drive Motor & MCU: Replacing the previous hub motors, the mid-drive motor and integrated Motor Control Unit (MCU) make the scooters five times more efficient, lightweight, and reliable.
3. Chain Drive System: Pre-lubricated O-rings replace the belt drive, promising twice the durability.
4. Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS): Standard across all models for improved safety.
