On August 6, Swasthyam Superspecialty Hospital will host a walkathon to commemorate National Vascular Day in collaboration with the Rotary club of Nagpur Fort.
At 7 a.m., a 4.2 kilometer race will start at Walkers Street in Civil Lines. A vow for an India without amputation will be made during the national event, which will be held in 25 cities across the nation. The purpose of the action is to promote a sense of community and solidarity while bringing attention to the significance of vascular health.
According to health data, an increasing number of people are at risk for amputations that may be avoided since they are affected by atherosclerosis-causing conditions such hypertension, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, and smoking. If necessary, early therapy can be given to stop these amputations from happening, preserving the patient's quality of life. At the ceremony were doctors Priti Gupta, Poonam Harkut, Rohit Gujpta, Sojal Parate, Jayant Warankar, Ravindra Paranjape, and Abhijit Rokde.
