Nagpur, India: In a swift operation, Paradi Police arrested a 19-year-old man for illegally possessing a country-made pistol and a live cartridge on the early morning of November 19, 2024. The arrest was made during a routine patrol based on reliable intelligence near Nanddeep Dhaba on Jabalpur Road in Paradi.

The arrested individual, identified as Chetan Prakash Kasar, a resident of Ran Goda Pura, Davalechi Wadi, Paradi, was stopped by the police around 1:00 AM. Upon questioning, Kasar revealed his identity and was searched. During the search, officers found a country-made pistol and a live cartridge concealed in his jeans pocket. The total value of the seized items was estimated at Rs. 20,500.

Kasar was arrested for possessing an illegal firearm and violating police orders. A case has been registered against him under Section 3/25 of the Arms Act and Section 135 of the Maharashtra Police Act at Paradi Police Station.

This operation was conducted under the supervision of Police Commissioner Ravindra Kumar Singh, Deputy Police Commissioner Nisar Tamboli, and Additional Police Commissioner Pramod Shewale, with the assistance of several senior officers from Nagpur city police. The police team involved in the operation included Police Inspector Ranjit Shirsat, Assistant Police Inspector Arvind Kolhare, and other officers.
