The Nagpur police are receiving a lot of complaints regarding fraudulent international calls. The callers are deceiving the call recipient by using the DP of any police officer.

The majority of calls come from students enrolled in professional colleges. The calls inform about the student's arrest on theft, robbery, rape, and other crimes, and they demand large amounts of money to be released.

The caller has reported something to the police. According to a police officer cited by one of the complainants, they receive between thirty and forty of these complaints virtually daily.

Thankfully, no one has been reported to have fallen for these scam callers. The caller seems to be causing trouble based on the information obtained from the call recipients, since they did not specify how the requested sum would be sent.
