Nagpur, India: On February 24, nearly 92.89 lakh farmers in Maharashtra will receive ₹1,967 crore as the 19th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will attend the state-level event at Vanamati, while the national event will take place in Bhagalpur, Bihar.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute the 19th installment to eligible farmer families. Launched in 2019, the scheme offers farmers ₹6,000 annually in three installments.
The event will be held at Vanamati Hall in Nagpur, bringing together farmers, agricultural experts, and officials. Similar programs will be held at district, taluka, and gram panchayat levels, featuring live screenings, seminars, and exhibitions on government schemes.
Officials have advised farmers to update their land records, link bank accounts with Aadhaar, and complete e-KYC authentication to continue receiving benefits. "Maharashtra is also speeding up the Agristack scheme, which allows digital farmer ID registration through civic centers," stated district superintendent agriculture officer Ravindra Manohare.
