PM Modi Meets Asiatic Lions, Snow Leopards at Gujarat’s Vantara

Heartwarming Interaction with Rescued Wildlife in Gujarat; Plays with Cubs, Feeds Giraffes at Jamnagar’s Wildlife Hub

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently visited Vantara, a wildlife rescue and conservation centre in Jamnagar, Gujarat. During his visit, he interacted with various wild animals, including Asiatic lion cubs, white lion cubs, clouded leopard cubs, and caracal cubs.

PM Modi was seen feeding and playing with the cubs, highlighting India’s commitment to wildlife conservation. He also spent time with other animals like giraffes, chimpanzees, orangutans, and even a rhinoceros calf.

Vantara, a 3,000-acre facility developed by Reliance Industries, provides care and rehabilitation to over 2,000 rescued animals. The centre has a modern veterinary hospital with MRI and CT scan facilities for treating injured animals.

During the visit, PM Modi observed medical treatments, including an MRI scan for an Asiatic lion and surgery for a leopard injured in an accident.

His visit showcased India's efforts to protect wildlife and provide a safe home for rescued animals.
