PM Modi to Inaugurate Nagpur-Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express Virtually on Monday
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the Nagpur-Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express, a high-speed train aimed at cutting travel time and enhancing connectivity between the two cities.

Nagpur, India: The Nagpur-Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express is all set to be inaugurated on Monday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the new train remotely, in a ceremony featuring prominent leaders such as Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The event will occur at 4:15 PM at Nagpur Railway Station’s Platform No. 8, where the train begins its inaugural journey. Gadkari and Fadnavis, along with a group of school children, will be onboard for the maiden trip.
The Vande Bharat Express will run with a 20-coach configuration and cover the 578-kilometre distance between Nagpur and Secunderabad in just 7 hours and 15 minutes. The train will make stops at Sewagram, Chandrapur, Ballarshah, Ramagundam, and Kazipet before reaching Secunderabad. It will depart from Nagpur at 5:00 AM, arriving in Secunderabad at 12:15 PM. On its return, the train will leave Secunderabad at 1:00 PM and arrive back in Nagpur at 8:20 PM.
This new service is expected to benefit many young professionals travelling between Nagpur and Hyderabad, the twin city of Secunderabad, which has emerged as a major tech hub. The early morning departure is designed to allow passengers to arrive in time for work without losing an entire day to travel.
The Vande Bharat train will feature both AC Chair Car and AC Executive Class, offering passengers different fare options. With its high-speed capabilities and modern amenities, it is expected to become a popular choice for travellers in the region.
