Police Bust Gang Involved in Robbery of ₹2.75 Lakh & Honda in Kalamna
Kalamna police arrest seven suspects involved in a ₹2.75 lakh robbery and scooter theft from a vegetable wholesaler in Nagpur. ₹1.06 lakh recovered, with one accused still on the run.

Nagpur, India: Kalamna police have arrested seven members of a gang involved in robbing ₹2.75 lakh from vegetable wholesaler Santosh Kartik Sahu and stealing his Honda Activa scooter (MH-49/V-1612) six days ago. The police recovered ₹1.06 lakh in cash and seized two motorcycles.
The arrested individuals are identified as Jairaj alias Sonu Mohan Verma (39), Nilesh alias Dadu Gangadhar Verma (24), Dinanath Gajanan Paunikar (42) from Vijay Nagar, Kalamna, Raja alias Bhuru Riyaz Khan (24) from Untkhana, Kamptee, Anandkumar Daduram Verma (19) from Depti Signal, Rupendra alias Golu Mangalram Sarwa alias Sahu (31) from Laxmi Nagar, and Kalim Salim Khan (24) from Khalasi Line, Kamptee. Another accused, Naved from Yashodhara Nagar, is still at large.
The robbery occurred on October 1 at around 6:50 pm when Santosh Sahu (45) was heading home from Kalamna Market on his Honda Activa, carrying ₹2,75,500 in cash. The accused, riding separate motorcycles, knocked him down and fled with the cash and scooter.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by Senior PI Prashant Pande and PSI Santosh Kumar Ramlod apprehended the seven accused. Investigations revealed that Jairaj alias Sonu Verma was the mastermind behind the robbery. Police are continuing their efforts to capture the eighth accused.
