Nagpur, India: A police constable was attacked near Khokha Café in Civil Lines late on Sunday night after he advised a young woman to leave the area. The fight, which reportedly began over a dispute about eating Maggi, led to a case being registered against three individuals, including two men and an unidentified woman.

The incident occurred around 11:30 pm when beat marshal Pankaj Nandeshwar and home guard Ravi were patrolling near Khokha Café, a popular late-night food spot located in front of the CBI office. The café has gained a reputation for attracting crowds at odd hours and has also been linked to alleged illegal activities.

During the patrol, Pankaj noticed a woman eating Maggi near the café and advised her to head home as it was late. However, the woman refused, stating that it was her usual time for a meal.

The situation escalated when two men, identified as Swapnil Vishnu Kamble and Sagar Mannusingh Thakur, intervened, accusing Pankaj of being a "fake policeman" and attempting to extort money. Shortly after, the two men, along with the woman, assaulted the constable before fleeing the scene.

Following a complaint by Pankaj, Sadar police registered a case for assaulting a government official and obstructing duty. Later, Swapnil and Sagar were apprehended.

Authorities have been receiving increasing complaints about Khokha Café, particularly concerning youth gatherings under the pretext of eating Maggi, which allegedly lead to unlawful activities. The police have now decided to intensify surveillance in the area to curb such incidents.
