In a significant development, the Tehsil Police are set to approach the Sessions Court after the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) twice rejected their application to re-arrest Ritu, also known as Ritika Maloo. The police will file a detailed revision petition on Monday, seeking permission for Maloo's arrest.
Maloo stands accused of driving her Mercedes car in a rash and negligent manner under the influence of alcohol. This reckless behavior resulted in a tragic collision with an Activa scooter carrying two individuals. Both riders, Mohammad Hussain Gulam Mustafa and Mohammad Ateef, lost their lives at the scene of the accident. It has been more than 5 months since the incident, but the victims family still awaits justice.
