Nagpur, India- To improve nutrition and encourage healthier eating among students, the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Abhiyan recently distributed millet chocolates at Babasaheb Dhabekar Madhyamik Vidyalaya in Yawardi. The event, held on Sunday, was aimed at students transitioning from Class VIII to Class IX.
As part of the initiative, students received 25 millet chocolates made from a mix of sorghum, millet, and ragi, designed to diversify their nutrient intake and promote healthier alternatives. The distribution ceremony was attended by Vijay Bhad, the Principal of Babasaheb Dhabekar Vidyalaya, who stressed the importance of nutrition for students' overall development.
Teachers Gopal Kakad and Anil Hajare, along with non-teaching staff member Raju Labde, supported the event, which saw enthusiastic participation from Class IX students.
This initiative highlights the Government’s commitment to tackling nutritional deficiencies and showcases the role of community-driven efforts in promoting healthier lifestyles.
