Betul Collector Instructs Demolition of Dilapidated Buildings Before Monsoon

Betul, India- To mark World Environment Day, a 12-day Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan is being conducted from June 5 to 16 in Betul district. This campaign focuses on the maintenance and cleanliness of water sources before the rainy season begins. Activities include cleaning wells, stepwells, ponds, rivers, and drains, and planting saplings for environmental balance. The success of the campaign relies on the coordination with local politicians, intellectuals, and social organizations, stated District Collector Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi.

Collector Suryavanshi emphasized the need to identify and demolish dilapidated buildings in Betul district to ensure safety. He also reviewed pre-monsoon preparations to address issues caused by heavy rainfall and potential flooding. Additional Collector (Development) Akshat Jain, ADM Rajiv Nandan Srivastava, and Joint Collector Anil Soni were present during the review.

Additionally, the Collector addressed the transfer of land for significant projects like railways, dams, roads, and industrial setups. He instructed the preparation of proposals for forest land transfer if needed. He also called for fire audits in government and non-government buildings.

Regarding the School, College Chale Abhiyan, Suryavanshi emphasized linking students who could not pursue further studies to the campaign, ensuring their continued education and development.
