Rival Gang Murders Man in Brutal Attack in Nandanvan

Nagpur, India: A brutal murder took place in broad daylight in the Nandanvan Police Station area on Sunday afternoon. Vikesh Sukhdev Jadhav, 38, a resident of Bhim Chowk, Hiwari Nagar, was killed by members of a rival gang, who attacked him in full public view. The assailants smashed Vikesh's head with a boulder after assaulting him with sharp weapons, leading to his immediate death.
The suspects have been identified as Nikhil alias Damba Manohar Wasnik, 24, from Padole Nagar slum, Bhola Ganesh Ingle from Kumbhar Toli, Prabhakar Gopal Chaudhary from Bhandewadi, and Akash Nagarikar from Nageshwar Nagar. Both Vikesh and Nikhil have criminal backgrounds, with cases of murder, assault, and robbery registered against them. According to the police, the two had a longstanding feud over control of the local area.
The rivalry escalated on August 13, when Vikesh attacked Nikhil with a sharp weapon. Nikhil had been planning his revenge since then. On Sunday afternoon, Vikesh went to Padole Nagar slum to meet a friend, where he encountered Nikhil and his gang. They surrounded him and launched a violent attack with sharp weapons before Nikhil delivered the fatal blow by smashing a boulder on Vikesh's head.
Nandanvan Police arrived at the scene shortly after receiving reports of the incident and sent Vikesh's body for post-mortem. A case of murder has been registered against the four accused, though no arrests have been made so far. The investigation is ongoing.
