RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat addressed the annual Dusshera event in Nagpur, emphasizing that the world looks to India to solve its challenges. The event featured a 'Path Sanchalan' (route march) organized by RSS members, with Shankar Mahadevan as the chief guest. Notable leaders from the state, including Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, attended.

In other news, BJP leader Nilesh Rane, the elder son of Union Minister Narayan Rane, has announced his retirement from electoral politics. Rane, who was elected to the Lok Sabha in 2009 with the INC, had switched allegiances to the BJP after parting ways with the Congress. He expressed his disinterest in active politics on social media.

On a separate note, October 24 marks the deadline set by Maratha reservation protestors, led by activist Manoj Jarange Patil, for the state government. Patil, a prominent figure in the agitation, had previously warned of intensifying the protest if their demands were not met by this date. Nearly 600 Maratha-dominated villages have imposed a ban on politicians until the Maratha reservation issue is resolved.
