Sakkardara Police Arrest Two for 34 Grams MD Drug Worth 3.42 Lakh

Sakkardara police arrested two individuals in connection with the possession of MD powder, a banned substance.

Nagpur, India:  Sakkardara police arrested two individuals in connection with the possession of MD powder, a banned substance, during a routine patrol.

The Sakkardara Police's special investigation team, while patrolling in their jurisdiction, apprehended Pankaj Prabhakar Sathawane, 29, at his residence in Sakkardara, Nagpur. Upon searching his house, the police found 34 grams of MD powder worth ₹3,42,500. During questioning, Sathawane admitted that he had purchased the MD powder from a man named Mohsin Mew Ejaz Ahmad Khan in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Acting on this information, a police team traveled to Indore, located the suspect in a flat, and arrested him.

In addition to the MD powder, the police seized a Chevrolet Beat car and four mobile phones, bringing the total value of the confiscated items to ₹5,57,500. Further investigations revealed that the two suspects were also wanted in several other cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act across different police stations, including Beltarodi, Nandanvan, and Ajni in Nagpur.

A case has been registered against them under Sections 8(c), 22(b), and 29 of the NDPS Act at Sakkardara Police Station. Both accused are now in custody as the investigation continues.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of senior officials from the Sakkardara Division, including Assistant Police Inspector Anil Takasande, Senior Police Inspector Pradeep Holge, and their team members.
