Nagpur, India: A school picnic took a tragic turn on Monday morning when a bus carrying students and teachers from Saraswati High School, Shankar Nagar, overturned near Deoli Pendhari village in Wardha district.  

The incident occurred around 9 AM. The bus, part of a five-bus convoy heading to the Hercules Picnic Spot, lost control on a sharp turn along the ghat section of Hingni Road. The bus was carrying over 50 passengers, including students and staff members.  

More than half of the passengers sustained injuries, with a student and a teacher critically hurt. They were rushed to AIIMS Hospital for advanced treatment. Others with minor injuries were treated at the local rural hospital.  

Police officials confirmed that there have been no fatalities so far and are investigating the cause of the accident. Stay tuned for more updates.
