Man Jumps from Building to Escape Police Raid, Injured

Nagpur, India: A man trying to escape a police raid on a sex racket jumped from the first floor of a building and got seriously injured.

The accused, Akash alias Bunty Ashok Jagnit (32) from Kamptee, is being treated at Mayo Hospital. The police raided the premises in Taj Nagar under Mankapur Police Station on Friday. The operation was led by the Social Security Branch.

The racket was run by former policeman Sachin Meshram, and Akash was allegedly working as a broker. In a panic, he jumped from a window but landed on a concrete surface and got injured. Police caught him and took him to the hospital.

Since he is badly hurt, the police have not arrested him yet but plan to do so once he recovers.
