Nagpur, India: Psychologist gives the trauma rather than taking it away. A new horror story has emerged in Nagpur where the psychologist-cum-counsellor was found exploiting female students in the pretence of counselling in his residential clinic. The counsellor set appointments late at night for therapies that extend until midnight.

Three offences have been registered at Hudkeshwar police station after a whistle-blower exposed the crime two months ago. Sources say the counsellor's wife and another accomplice were also booked for this case and are currently absconding. 

During the investigation, explicit photos and videos of 18 girls were caught in the mobile of the accused, most of them were minors. The psychologist claims to be a gold medallist in his subject, which attracts parents to send their children for a long-day session ensuring their personality and mental development to enhance academic performance.

The accused also charges hefty amounts for his therapy sessions, which often amount to ₹9 lakh annually. 

Counsellor held for sexual exploitation of 50 students at Nagpur clinic over 15 years. On the pretext of 'acupressure', he would touch girls inappropriately in his therapy sessions to release physical and mental problems. During counselling, he collects personal information about his family background to gain trust.

Then in the advanced therapy session, he begins with touching girls, offering liquor and exploiting them sexually, convincing them this will release stress and increase focus on academics and this physical relationship is inescapable. The accused later blackmails the girls by collecting intimate videos and pictures, says the whistle-blower. 

Many of the survivors are married and fear an action caused by society. The counsellor was linked to another person in Shankar Nagar, Later he started his residential clinic in east Nagpur. After gaining popularity, many visited his clinic from Chandrapur. 

Sources said, the accused offered liquor stating it as mandatory before the session. Families were not allowed to speak to their children in his residential unit, claiming to affect his treatment and would distract them.
