Nagpur, India: Residents of Shubhas Nagar are raising concerns over what they describe as a "death trap" created by recent roadwork undertaken by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and Maha Metro. This problematic stretch, in front of Vikas Thakre's residence, has sparked outrage among locals who fear for their safety.

According to sources, the NMC's road repair efforts have resulted in hazardous conditions, in the area around Shubhas Nagar. Residents claim that the road, which was supposed to be improved, has instead become a serious risk due to poorly executed work and unsafe repairs. The situation has been exacerbated by Maha Metro’s recent attempts to repair the road using concrete, which locals question the necessity of.

Residents are alarmed by the growing number of hazardous road conditions, which have worsened after heavy rains. The inadequate repairs and poor management of roadwork by local authorities, including the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and Maha Metro, have left many roads in a dangerous state.

The concerns are growing as residents fear that any accidents occurring due to these road conditions might go unaddressed. The public demands accountability and action to prevent further waste of taxpayer money and promptly address the dangerous road conditions.

The issue has highlighted the need for improved oversight and better project management by municipal and metro authorities to ensure public safety and effective use of resources.
