Nagpur, India: Nagpur Railway Police recovered a stolen Royal Enfield Bullet worth ₹1.98 lakh in just 24 hours by tracking traffic challans issued in Wardha and Akola.
The bike owner had parked the black Royal Enfield Bullet in the staff two-wheeler parking area at Nagpur Railway Station on 21 March 2025 before leaving for Ujjain. The challan records showed that a man and a woman were riding the stolen bike and had travelled towards the Amravati-Akola Road. Another challan was issued in Borgaon Manju, near Akola, confirming that the duo was heading towards Nashik.
With this information, the Nagpur Railway Police, with the help of local police, tracked the suspects to their residence in Nashik. The stolen bike was recovered, and the suspects were arrested, solving the case quickly.
The successful operation was led by Dr Priyanka Narnaware, Superintendent of Railway Police, Nagpur, with support from Additional SP Dattaram Rathod and Divisional Police Officer Pandurang Sonawane. Inspector Gaurav Gawande, along with Constables Pushparaj Mishra, Pravin Khawase, and Mazhar Ali, was praised for their efforts in solving the case swiftly.
