According to a source, the wedding was a very private event that happened in Udaipur. On March 20, the pre-wedding activities got underway. On their special day, the couple was adamant that they wanted no media attention. It is well known that they are both quite private and reserved individuals, and they wouldn't have it any other way.

"Taapsee's Dobaaraa and Thappad co-star Pavail Gulati joined the guests at her and Mathais' wedding," the actress stated. "Taapsee wanted only her closest peers to attend the wedding ceremony."

Anurag Kashyap, who produced Saand Ki Aankh and directed Taapsee in movies like Manmarziyaan and Dobaara, and who has a fairly strong relationship with her, also took a plane to Udaipur.
