In Nagpur, Maharashtra, four adolescent students were taken into custody by the police on Wednesday, an official said, after they staged a spoof film of kidnapping a boy for social media.
The four students were arrested for attempting to abduct the Class 11 lad. Two of them had recently taken the Class 12 exam, and the other two were getting ready for the NEET exam. An officer from the Pratap Nagar police station reported that they were taken into custody and then released with a warning. The victim, Aadesh (17), is from the Chandrapur district. He and his companion currently live in a rented home in Nagpur as he spends the previous year getting ready for the JEE exam.
Aadesh is a Class 11 student. He and his buddies Yash and Vedant were heading to their courses on Monday at 6:45 a.m. when a white automobile approached from behind in the Pratap Nagar neighborhood. According to the official, Aadesh resisted being pushed inside the car by three small boys who got down.
The police nabbed Sushant, 18, after identifying him as one of the offenders from the CCTV footage. According to the information he gave, the police also arrested his accomplices, who were identified as 18-year-olds Shreyash, Yash, and Arnav.
The four adolescents admitted to the police during their interrogation that they were attempting to film a parody video for social media. Following the disclosure, their parents were called to the police station and expressed their dismay at learning of their actions. He added that Sushant's license to operate the car was revoked by the police.
The youngsters promised the police that they would not commit similar crimes in the future, and the parents asked the police to be lenient. The official stated that following that, the police released them after giving them a warning.
