In order to give its players better playing conditions, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has chosen to level all of its cricket grounds prior to the start of the season.

Previously, the MCA supplied mud to all of its maidaan clubs, enabling them to level and prepare fields all across the city. But this will be the first time that the MCA levels the outfield as well; work on this has already begun.

The MCA Apex Council has set aside a special budget for this, and the association has decided to launch their new effort at Matunga's Dadkar Ground.

After noticing that numerous young players were suffering injuries when fielding on uneven outfields, MCA secretary Ajinkya Naik made the decision to fix the coarse outfields. MCA will offer extra assistance by sending in groundskeepers and curators to aid with ground preparation.

The MCA has made the decision to raise Dadkar maidaan in Matunga. The MCA will continue to cover the expense of supplying mud to each club as it did in the past. But this time, the MCA has taken the initiative to level the whole area, and we'll begin at Matunga Ground.

We decided to level the entire area because we've seen a lot of gamers sustain injuries while participating. In the past, there have been instances where players have twisted their ankles and missed cricket matches. Thus, MCA has made the decision to provide rising players with a respectable outfield and ground. Says Naik.
