The 2024 Lok Sabha elections began on April 19 with the first phase of voting. Voting for 102 constitutions is being conducted in Phase 1, and a sizable turnout is expected. The shortest woman in the world, Jyoti Amge, voted on Friday as well. Jyoti, accompanied by her family, encouraged others to carry out their responsibilities.
Jyoti Amge and her family are seen as they arrive in Nagpur to cast their votes. The moment she stepped into the school, she was mobbed by photographers, who took shots of her while she kept a straight face and posed for them.
"I would like to share that I have voted today with my entire family," she added, addressing the reporters positioned outside the polling place and urging other people to cast their ballots.
Jyoti continued, saying she came to vote in spite of the intense heat. "I usually come to this school—where I finished my education—to cast my ballot. Every time I'm here, my school instructors always stop by to say hello. My family and my teachers have both been there for me.
