The traffic department is against NMC's request for street parking on 75 Busy Roads

75 street parking zones have been identified by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation. However, since NMC did not consult the traffic department, there is a chance of conflict.
Parking on the streets between Ram Nagar and Ravinagar Square, Manewada Square and Tukdoji Putala Square, Kamgar Bhavan Square and Cotton Market Square, Indora and Barakholi, Barakholi and Bhim Chowk, and Kamal Square and Vaishali Nagar will significantly impede traffic, according to the traffic department.
If parking is permitted on the road, drivers won't have to pay a parking fee, and the traffic department won't have to tow the traffic police away. According to the traffic department, this will lead to an increase in driver indiscipline. Without seeking any input, the NMC requested no-objection certifications from the traffic department while proposing street parking.
The traffic department believes that because of the strong traffic on several of the NMC-proposed roadways, street parking is not feasible. One-sided parking may be permitted on parts of these routes, according to the traffic department, but the NMC's request may only be taken into consideration following a thorough investigation.
