Nagpur, India: A man lost ₹2 lakh after thieves broke into his car while he was inside the bank. The incident happened around 3 PM on Tuesday outside the Central Bank of India on Hingna Road, Wanadongri (Mahajan Wadi). The victim had gone to deposit money when the theft took place.

The victim, Bhavrao Manohar Kale (50), lives in Vijay Nagar, Wanadongri. He runs a transport business and also manages an old age home. He had recently sold his pigeon pea and cotton crops and withdrew ₹2.5 lakh to pay his transport employees. A friend was with him during the trip.

Before going to the bank, Kale and his friend completed some work in Hingna. They were travelling in their car (MH 40-EA 9602) towards Nagpur. When they stopped at the bank, Kale took out ₹50,000 to deposit and left the remaining ₹2 lakh near the handbrake inside the car.

After finishing their bank work, they returned to find the driver’s side window broken. When they checked inside, the ₹2 lakh cash was missing. They immediately informed the police about the theft.

MIDC Police Inspector Mahesh Chavan and his team visited the scene. Since the car was parked across the road from the bank, the CCTV cameras did not clearly capture the suspects. However, the police have started investigating by checking nearby CCTV footage and questioning people in the area.
