Nagpur, India: Nagpur witnessed a series of fire incidents on Sunday, keeping firefighters on high alert as temperatures continued to rise. The Fire Brigade was called to three different locations to extinguish fires, all of which involved dry garbage, leaves, and other combustible materials.
Two of the incidents were attended by fire personnel from the Narendra Nagar Fire Station. The third fire broke out at Vrundavan Apartments, Civil Lines, near Hislop College, around 1:12 PM. Firefighters from the Civil Lines Fire Station responded swiftly and managed to douse the flames within minutes.
Earlier in the day, a fire was reported near Airport Metro Station, where dry leaves and debris caught fire in the morning. Another incident occurred in Sneh Nagar, SBI Colony, where an open plot filled with waste materials ignited, prompting an emergency response.
The Fire Brigade has been actively responding to several such cases throughout the month, as improperly discarded garbage in open spaces continues to pose a fire hazard. Authorities have urged citizens to be cautious and avoid dumping waste irresponsibly to prevent further incidents.
