Vidarbha, Bhandara: Three tiger cubs, separated from their mother in Lendezari, Bhandara, were rescued and taken to the Gorewada Rescue Centre for treatment. Sadly, one cub did not survive, while the other two are receiving medical care. Their condition is still critical.

On February 11, forest officials found a dead tiger cub near Bawanthadi Canal in Lendezari, Bhandara. While searching the area, they discovered another weak cub nearby and immediately took it to the rescue centre in Nagpur. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, the cub did not survive.

To monitor the area, forest officials set up camera traps. On February 14, they found two more cubs, around three months old and in poor health. These cubs were also sent to the Gorewada Rescue Centre for treatment.

"The first cub we rescued last week did not survive. Later, we found two more cubs from the same mother and brought them for medical care. Their condition is serious, but our veterinary team is working hard to save them. If we find the mother tigress in the next two weeks, we will try to reunite them," said Shatanik Bhagwat, divisional manager of the Gorewada project.

Forest officials are still looking for the mother tigress and are keeping a close watch on the area to ensure the safety of the cubs.
