Three-Day Special Olympics Beginning, 600 athletes make up Bharat

On Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University grounds, Special Olympics for people with disabilities will be held by the Nagpur Division of Special Olympics India.
The Special Olympics Bharat Division Director, Bhagwan Talware, announced that more than six hundred competitors from all over the State will be competing.
Eleven sports, including athletics, badminton, football, volleyball, table tennis, skating, swimming, basketball, handball, powerlifting, and boxing, will be available throughout the three-day Olympics.
"The competition will feature about 600 impaired players and 150 coaches from 36 regions. All events, with the exception of swimming, will be held at Subhedar Hall and the university grounds. The NIT swimming pool in Ambazaari will host the swimming competitions. The victors will receive attractive prizes, according to Talware.
The competition will begin at 11 a.m. with Kirit Sommaiah and Mallika Nadda in attendance. Dr. Subhash Chaudhary, Vice-Chancellor of RTMNU, Area Director of Special Olympics India DG Chaudhary, and other guests will also be in attendance for the occasion.
