Nagpur, India: The Traffic Branch of Nagpur City Police has announced traffic arrangements for the Dhammachakra Pravartan Din event at Deekshabhoomi on Saturday. Several key roads will be closed to ensure smooth travel of devotees and prevent congestion.
Traffic will be restricted on roads from Kachipura Square to Mata Kacheri Square, Kalpana Building Ramdaspeth T-point to Kachipura Square, and Mata Kacheri Square to Kriplani turning on Wardha Road. Other closures include Bajaj Nagar Square to Laxmi Nagar Square and Mata Kacheri Square to Neeri T-point.
Aapli and MSRTC buses carrying devotees will be parked along the stretch between Bajaj Nagar Square and Kachipura Square. Traffic from Lokmat Square towards Bajaj Nagar will be diverted through Panchsheel Square, Rani Jhansi Square, University Library Square, and Alankar Talkies Square, while vehicles heading towards Kachipura Square from Alankar Talkies will be rerouted via North Ambazari Road.
Residents living near Deekshabhoomi must collect vehicle passes from the Police Inspector (Traffic) of the Sonegaon zone. Visitors to the event can park at several designated locations, including Dharampeth Science College, Tarkunde Dharampeth High School Ground, Bajaj Nagar Basketball Ground, Dandige NMC Ground, and other nearby spots.
The traffic arrangements, enforced by DCP (Traffic) Archit Chandak, will be effective from 9 am on October 11 until 10 pm on October 14.
