Nagpur, India: To ease traffic and ensure safety during ongoing construction, the Nagpur Traffic Police have announced significant traffic diversions from the Power House Square to Deputy Signal route. The diversion is set to begin from January 12, 2025, and will be in effect until January 26, 2025, during nighttime hours.
The construction work for the Road Over Bridge (ROB) will be carried out at night, with the completion expected in 45 days. Given the high traffic throughout the day and night on this route, the authorities have implemented the following traffic restrictions:
- 1. All types of traffic from Power House Square to Deputy Signal will be halted.
- 2. Traffic from Bharat Nagar Square towards Deputy Signal will also be closed.
- 3. All traffic from Chikhli Square heading towards Deputy Signal will be diverted.
To manage the diversion, traffic will be redirected via the following routes:
- 1. Vehicles from Power House Square towards Deputy Signal will take a right turn, passing through Satvachan Lawn, Sonba Nagar Railway Crossing, and Old Pardi Naka Square.
- 2. Traffic from Bharat Nagar Square towards Deputy Signal will move via Old Pardi Naka, Sonba Nagar Railway Crossing, and Power House Square.
- 3. Vehicles from Chikhli Square towards Deputy Signal will be diverted through Bharat Nagar, Old Pardi Naka, Sonba Nagar Railway Crossing, and Power House Square.
These changes will be in place each day from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM, ensuring minimal disruption to the daytime flow of traffic. Authorities have urged all vehicle drivers in Nagpur to comply with the diversions to prevent inconvenience and help avoid accidents during the construction period.
Police officials have also called for the cooperation of the public to ensure smooth traffic flow and safety across the city.
