Tragic Explosion at Chamunda Explosives Facility took Five Lives

Amravati, India-  A devastating explosion at the Chamunda Explosives facility in Waddhamna along the Nagpur-Amravati Road claimed the lives of around five people on Thursday. The blast left 8-10 others with severe burn injuries.

The deceased include Pranjali Modre (22), Prachi Phalke (20), Vaishali Kshirsagar (20), Monali Alone (27), and Pannalaal Bandewar (50). Among the injured are Sheetal Charap (30), Dansa Maraskolhe (26), and Pramod Chaware (25), along with several others. are currently unconfirmed.

Media reports says the explosion happened around noon, its massiv blast heard kilometers away, and thick smoke was visible from miles around.

While the cause of the explosion is yet to be revealed, authorities and officals from the Hingna Police and Fire and Emergency Department quickly responded to the scene and began rescue operations immediately.
