In separate incidents across Akola and Yavatmal districts within the past 24 hours, three individuals lost their lives due to unfortunate accidents.

In Pusad, a speeding cement truck (MH-10/CR-7711) veered off course, crashing into a house and school in Amdari Ghat. Tragically, 7-year-old Sheetal Pandurang Kirwale, who was inside the school, was fatally struck by a falling slab. The driver lost control of the vehicle, causing havoc before being apprehended by the police.

Meanwhile, in Akola, a yet-to-be-identified vehicle fatally struck Govind Sudhakar Dhage on the Akola-Akot road, leading to his immediate death. Investigations are ongoing to identify the responsible party.

In Wani, Asha Janardhan Nande (50) suffered a fatal accident when a speeding Duster car (MH-31/EA-8229) hit her from behind while she was walking along the Wani-Mukutban route. Despite efforts to save her, Asha succumbed to her injuries on the way to Nagpur. The driver, Ganesh Babarao Zade, has been arrested following the incident, with investigations underway.
