On Tuesday, a truck driver from Nagaur, Maheshkumar Sukhmant Sahu (28), was arrested on charges of allegedly kidnapping a 12-year-old girl. The accused hails from Ghogli, Besa Road, Beltarodi.

According to information received, the minor girl was reported missing from her home around 7:15 a.m. Her elder sister, who is 18 years old, immediately informed the Hudkeshwar police and expressed suspicion that her younger sister had been taken away in a truck (CG-04/PC-5974). Upon receiving this information, the Hudkeshwar police promptly alerted the control room.

Soon after, units from the crime branch unit-4, Beltarodi, and Hudkeshwar police stations were mobilized for action. During a joint search operation, the police found the truck parked on Anasara City Road. While conducting a search of the surrounding area, the police found the suspect standing with the victim at a secluded location.

The police surrounded the suspect and apprehended him. The Hudkeshwar police have registered a case against him under Section 363 of the Indian Penal Code.
