"Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar" stuns fans with remarkable chemistry between Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, a phenomenal opening at the box office on Holi (March 8). The movie secures the second-best Bollywood opening of the year after Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan. However, on March 9, the film earned Rs 10 crore, witnessing a decline of nearly Rs 5 crore from the previous day's earnings. A romantic comedy by Luv Ranjan, the romantic comedy also marks the debut of Boney Kapoor in acting.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar's box office collection indicates a massive turnout. The romantic comedy movie featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor earned a staggering Rs 15 crore on its opening day in India, and the early trade reports reveal that the film collected Rs 10 crore on Day 2, taking its total collection to Rs 25.73 crore. On March 9, Movie recorded 11.46%. 

However, on Day 2, the movie witnessed a 35% drop, which could have been better if the Holi festival was a full holiday. Box Office India stated that the film needs to improve its performance as it has only earned Rs 23 crore net in the two-day holiday period. The movie has to step up on Friday, especially in cities, as there could be a possibility of further drops in mass areas after the Holi festival.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is a romantic comedy film that was  released during the Holi 2023 weekend, on March 8, 2023. The film, written and directed by Luv Ranjan, is produced by Luv Films and T-Series Films. The movie features Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, who share the screen for the first time. The makers had earlier announced the title of the film in a unique way. Apart from the lead pair, the movie also features Anubhav Singh Bassi, Dimple Kapadia, and Boney Kapoor in significant supporting roles. The music for the movie is composed by Pritam, and Amitabh Bhattacharya has penned all the lyrics. The plot revolves around Ranbir and Shraddha's characters, who fall in love easily but face challenges while trying to break up.

Ranbir Kapoor has animal in the pipeline, while Shraddha Kapoor will soon begin shooting for "Stree 2."
