The Nagpur Forest Department, in collaboration with a team from Bhandara, has apprehended two suspects involved in a case of Tiger poaching. Acting on a tip from the Nagpur Forest Department, a successful operation was carried out to prevent a planned tiger poaching incident in Pavnar.

The suspects, identified as Nilesh Sudhakar Gujarathi (33 years old) and Vikas Bathole Batho (31 years old), residents of Chandrapur, have been taken into custody. The seized items include an 82cm long and 79cm wide tiger skin and an Activa scooter with the license plate MH 34 CB 2717.

The accused will be charged under various sections of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, for their involvement in forest offences. The operation took place in the Pavnar Forest Range, under the supervision of senior forest officials, including Ramesh Kumar Bhawase, Chief Conservator of Forests (PRA) in Nagpur, and Bharat Singh Hadan, Deputy Conservator of Forests in Nagpur. W.V. Nagulwar and S.A. Bhandara will conduct further inquiries.
