Entertainment: Veteran Bollywood playback singer Udit Narayan has addressed the controversy surrounding videos of him kissing female fans at a recent concert. The 69-year-old singer, known for hits like Tip Tip Barsa Pani, explained the situation by calling it "fan love" and asking people not to overreact.

On February 1, several videos went viral showing Narayan kissing female fans who approached him for selfies. In one video, he kisses a female fan on the lips while telling security not to intervene. The videos quickly gained traction on social media, leading to mixed reactions.

Narayan responded to the incident, stating that the fans were simply expressing their admiration. "Fans can get so excited. But we are decent people, not like that," he said. He referred to the behavior as “deewangi” (craziness) and urged people not to make a big deal out of it, explaining that some fans show affection through handshakes or kisses on the hand.

However, many people criticized his actions as inappropriate. One commenter mentioned, “A singer of his stature should be more conscious of his behavior in public,” while another expressed disappointment, saying, “If this is true, it’s shameful.”
